A Comprehensive Introduction to Nonviolent Communication and Needs-awareness

“when I'm in "needs consciousness" I can find my way to a more compassionate view” - THOm bond

Our Discovery Trainings follow a rich curriculum that has been delivered and refined for almost two decades. They are designed to lay a comprehensive, experiential foundation for the theory and real-life application of NVC, through the unique lens of "needs-awareness".

This is a particular approach to teaching NVC, with a focus on our awareness of, and our relationship to, our own and others' Universal Human Needs. Through this lens, rather than just a language model or a way of speaking, NVC is a powerful and creative framework to understand and navigate our relationships, grounded in the beauty of our common humanity.

No matter the specific format, Discovery Trainings provide a clear conceptual framework along with practices and "take home" skills that can help you create a lasting, effective application of "needs awareness" in your daily life.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Completing this training fulfills the pre-requisites to attend the Empathy Intensive Trainings, Monthly Empathy Cafes and Empathy Circles, and access to the Global Compassion Network
