NYCNVC Home

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) strengthens our ability to understand and respond compassionately to others and to ourselves. It guides us to reframe how we express ourselves and hear others by focusing our consciousness on what we are observing, feeling, needing, and requesting. By practicing NVC we can hear our own needs and those of others with a depth of understanding that gives us the ability to transcend conflict.  When we focus on needs and values, rather than diagnosing and judging, the world looks different and becomes different.
