Program Concept and Overview
This program is designed to provide ongoing support and opportunities to teach NVC. By providing an abundance of experience and support, this program provides an opportunity to integrate the skills involved in being an effective and fulfilled NVC Trainer.
The Trainer Training Program (TTP) is designed for people who have been studying NVC for (usually) one to five years and hold an intention to be a "Certified Trainer" with CNVC or NYCNVC or an "Independent Trainer" or a "Dedicated Practitioner." It's ideal for folks who who are leading or intending to lead a practice group (or equivalent) and are interested in gaining deeper, NVC training experience at retreats and intensive trainings.
The program includes:
1) Your own Led Local Practice Group

2)
Empathy Sessions - 1 per week (1 hour ea) - with your own Empathy
Buddy from the program
3) Certification Status/ Planning and/or Goal Status/Planning - part of coaching sessions
4) Coaching Sessions -

Opportunities
The goal of intensive personal and community development is carried out by
providing training knowledge, opportunity and support in the context of the
following events and activities.
The "NVC Discovery Intensive" is an introductory 2 1/2 day training that starts on Friday night and goes through the weekend. It is designed to "jump start" NVC learning and integration. Intensive, experiential and transformative, this weekend is a combination of inner work, outer work and fun, to create a profound and uplifting learning experience. These are offered in New York and can also be sponsored anywhere in North America to increase local awareness of NVC and help trainers get "front-of the-room" experience.
"Practice Groups" As a prerequisite for the Certification Training Program we ask that participants lead a local weekly practice group (or the equivalent) or set a goal to lead a practice group locally. Groups generally follow either the Lucy Leu Companion Workbook or the 64 Days curriculum that includes readings, exercises and role plays. Sessions usually take place in someone's home or a small public meeting room. They range in size from 4 to 20 people, depending on the group members needs and group leaders needs. Groups cover the fundamental concepts and skills of NVC including "the model," "empathy," "needs consciousness," and more (see below). Starting times are usually 6:30 to 7:00 with 2 1/2 hours for the meeting itself.
"Intensives" - Four Intensives per year. One Friday thru Sunday (non-residential) .Three Thursday thru Sunday (residential). Intensives are designed to support and encourage different areas of NVC learning and integration. From the beginnings of learning what NVC is and is not, to the deeper integration of empathy skills, self-empathy skills and ultimately to enjoy the awareness that NVC offers in supporting dialogue and a greater ability to make Life-Serving Requests and choices.
